In Edinburgh, Fettes College is one of the UK's leading independent co-educational boarding and day schools. The school was founded in 1870 by local philanthropist Sir William Fettes, whose passionate concern for the care, welfare, and education of young people has been at the heart of the College ethos throughout its history and remains the school's guiding principle today. Small Class Sizes

FCG adopts a small class teaching model, with a maximum class size of 24. Our low student-to-teacher ratio ensures students receive individualised and timely attention and support in and out of the classroom.

FCG college guidance is fully assisted by Country Garden College Guidance Center. The service runs through middle and senior schools and is rooted in primary schools. In senior school, students focus on their own direction of development, and the college guidance service provides them with professional counseling and practical opportunities to make their future full of possibilities and develop a clear development plan for their next step. Country Garden College Guidance Center has admitted 94.3% of the world's top 50 universities for five consecutive years. Its special two strategic training programs, "Ivy League + Elite Camp" and "Oxsword + Sprints Camp", help students gain access to the world's top universities.

FCG Boarding is inspired by Fettes College UK and has been tailored with the needs of Chinese parents and children. FCG integrates 150 years of British history and cultural traditions and the care, support, and value of service recognized by parents with traditional Chinese culture so that every child has a sense of belonging and identity here.

The boarding management team of the school is composed of Chinese and Expat teachers, including Head of Boarding, Houseparent, Boarding Tutor and Boarding Carer. They all have bachelor's degree or above and hold teaching qualification certificates. FCG takes the British "House" as the leading boarding management and uses the pastoral care to run through students' study and life.
