George, a student from Russia, previously attended a British secondary school but sought a more rigorous mathematics education at FCG. Flexible Pacing for Different Learning Rhythms  

The school provides flexible learning pathways at key stages to meet the diverse needs of students:


In Grade 11, students with a strong interest and aptitude in mathematics can take both Further Mathematics and standard Mathematics simultaneously, while others may follow a two-year pathway to complete their Mathematics course. In Grade 10, high-achieving students with exceptional learning efficiency can cover both IGCSE and AS-level content within the year, while others focus on building a solid IGCSE foundation to prepare for advanced studies.

In Grade 9, Mr Fang provides both standard and advanced materials, encouraging students like Henry, Louis, Twinkle, and others to tackle higher-level tasks while revisiting foundational concepts as needed. At the same time, Ms Xiao sets personalised goals for her students—some complete the entire IGCSE syllabus in just half a year, while others take a full year to ensure a solid understanding. This approach allows every student to progress at a pace that best suits their individual learning needs.
