Music education plays a very special role at FCG. Since the school’s founding, music has been an integral part of its well-rounded and balanced curriculum. After years of dedicated development, we are now beginning to reap the rewards of our efforts.
New Breakthroughs in Music-related University Placements
Following offers from prestigious institutions such as Berklee College of Music, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama received by our first graduating cohort, our current students have achieved further breakthroughs. One has received an interview invitation from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, which is ranked among the top ten universities in the United States. We are now fully supporting the student in preparing for the interview and look forward to exciting results.
Outstanding IGCSE Music Examination Results
In the Cambridge Winter 2025 IGCSE Music examination, all our students achieved an A grade, resulting in a 100% A & A* rate. Such strong academic performance will undoubtedly lay a solid foundation for their future university applications. Let us congratulate these students on their excellent achievements!
A Wealth of On- and Off-Campus Activities and Performance Opportunities
In addition to offering a rich and professional curriculum, we provide students with various on- and off-campus activities and performance opportunities. These allow them to accumulate stage experience and enhance their musical skills while enjoying the process of performing. For example, during the recent International Cultural Festival, our senior students took turns showcasing their talents. Through their powerful performances, the universal language of music fostered a sense of connection across cultures. Moreover, this Wednesday, eight of our students will represent the school at the 15th International School Choral Festival, where they will demonstrate the confidence and grace of FCG students on a world-class stage.
