Based on the CNC and IB's Middle Years Programme (MYP), the FCG Middle School has built a curriculum system that integrates both Chinese and western education. We offer all CNC courses, mainly taught in Chinese or bilingually; various enrichment courses are taught bilingually. Chinese and Western educational thoughts are integrated through six teaching methods, forming a unique bilingual education.
Through the cycle of inquiry, action and reflection, we cultivate ten learning methods and skills so that students can learn how to learn efficiently in a bilingual environment and become lifelong learners integrating knowledge and practice. Four key teaching features
The school provides a tailored education through an explicit and implicit curriculum designed to focus on the individual needs of each child's development. Nearly 70% of the primary and junior school curriculum is taught in English or bilingual by foreign or bilingual teachers. The bilingualism ratio is reasonable and scientific, ensuring that students are taught the foreign language gradually from the lower to the upper grades, strengthening their mother tongue's foundation and helping them complete the high school curriculum.
