Time flies! In the blink of an eye, our first graders have been exploring the enchanting world of the "Pinyin Kingdom" for nearly two months. Since 22nd September, during the fourth week, the children have embarked on this fun and challenging adventure of learning Chinese Pinyin through catchy tunes like "Pinyin Rhyme," "Tone Rhyme," and "Final Rhyme."

With the support and guidance of both teachers and parents, the children have gradually explored the Pinyin Kingdom. Last week, they reached the final destination of this adventure and are excited to embark on the next phase of text reading starting next week.

First Steps in the Kingdom: Through repeated recitation of lively and engaging rhymes like the "Initial Song," "Final Song," "Tone Song," and "Tone Marking Song," the children have become familiar with all the members of the Pinyin Kingdom. Their exploration of these rhymes has filled them with curiosity and enthusiasm for Pinyin.

Consolidating the Foundation: Throughout their exploratory journey, each time the children completed a set of Pinyin lessons, they participated in a checkpoint activity called "Pinyin Dictation." Through repeated practice and corrections, they have gradually developed a strong familiarity with every member of the Pinyin Kingdom.

Fun Practice: In the final stages, the children eagerly took part in the "Complete Pinyin Dictation" challenge and successfully completed the "Classmates' Names in Pinyin" task. Through these engaging activities, they wholeheartedly experienced the joy of applying their knowledge in practice.

After two months of joyful learning, we are delighted to observe that:

• 80% of the children have fundamentally mastered pinyin, taking a crucial step forward in their Chinese language learning journey;
  

  
  

• 60% of the children can skillfully use pinyin. They have obtained this "golden key" and unlocked the door to independent reading of pinyin-based books.
