Approaches to Learning (ATLs) are a set of skills that are important for students to develop. They are the communication skills, social skills, self-management skills, research skills and thinking skills. These skills not only support academic success but also prepare students for lifelong learning. In our library, by providing abundant resources, collaborative spaces, and targeted programmes, we support students in developing their ATLs. Moreover, through various activities and workshops going beyond books and the physical library space to strengthen and enhance ATL skills ultimately, we strive to help students achieve their goals.
During every noon break, students can enjoy some silent games in our library, such as puzzles, rubrics, and chess. In April, during 22nd - 26th, our students celebrated the “World Earth Day and World Book Day” by a series of activities during noon breaks. We read books about the Earth to deepen our understanding toward the importance of environmental protection. We planted the Love seeds to bring some GREEN to our planet. And we did DIY Shrinky Dink keychains to call for attention to this theme.
