Enriching morning activities kickstart our wonderful days at the Early Years for the EY2 children. Every day, the children arrive at the Early Years, happy and eager to see what exciting activities the teachers have planned. So, let’s take a look at the arrival activities in Owl Class!
During the morning activities, we engage in various fun phonics activities, previewing or reviewing the letter sounds learned. This promotes children's enjoyment of learning phonics and deepens their impressions of letters and their sounds. Over time, this accumulation significantly increases the children's interest in learning phonics.
Mathematics Area
Teachers provide various materials to present maths activities, enriching children's experiences with mathematics and helping them understand and recognise numbers from multiple perspectives.
"Discover and Match: search for materials that match the pictures among various materials and pair them up."
Hands on Activity
Hand-eye coordination development is an important foundation for children to develop various abilities in the future. Therefore, we integrate it into daily activities, allowing children to develop their fine motor skills through play.
Thematic Expansion Activities
Our EY2 theme is 'Who We Are.' During the morning activities, various materials provide children with a rich experience related to the theme. In this activity, Children chose their favourite-coloured clay to decorate their English names.
Using clay to create hair of different lengths styles.
Every morning, the EY2 children are filled with a curiosity for exploration, collecting many wonderful learning stories in their joyful journey.
