During this bright and sunny week, Year 1 children experienced a unique journey of musical exploration. The teacher combined music knowledge with fun games, so that every child was immersed in the sea of music, not only enjoying the fun of learning, but also gaining valuable knowledge and skills.

The focus of the G1 lesson is to learn the strengths and weaknesses of the 4-3 beat. The teacher guided the children through a light English children's song. Firstly, the children closed their eyes and listened to the song, feeling how the three beats of each bar were naturally divided into the rhythmic pattern of ‘strong-weak-weak’. Afterwards, the children jumped in a circle to feel the rhythm and strength of the music, so that the music could be visualised, and everyone played according to the rhythmic pattern of four-three beats. Through practice, they not only accurately mastered this rhythmic feature, but also learned how to express the music's emotion in their performance, with each ‘strong beat’ full of power, and the ‘weak beat’ soft and delicate.
