As the first semester is coming to an end, we are thrilled to reflect on a semester filled with enthusiasm, hard work, and achievement in the Senior School Physical Education Department. From competitive fixtures to curriculum highlights, our students have embraced every opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

The basketball season has been a fantastic showcase of our students’ dedication and progress. With multiple fixtures throughout the semester, our players have demonstrated determination, teamwork, and exceptional sportsmanship. Each game has been a testament to their hard work and the strides they have made in both skill and confidence. Similarly, our volleyball teams have had an equally exciting semester, participating in challenging matches that highlighted their technical development and cooperative spirit. The students’ growth on and off the court has been remarkable to witness.

Another major highlight of the semester was the badminton trip to Haikou, where our students achieved outstanding success. The trip provided not only an opportunity for competition but also a chance for personal and team development. Our players performed exceptionally well, earning recognition for their impressive skills and exemplary conduct. The experience will undoubtedly remain a cherished memory for all who participated.

Football fixtures have also been a significant part of our sporting calendar this semester. The teams have displayed excellent tactical understanding and a commitment to improvement. Their performances on the field have been commendable, and we look forward to seeing them continue to build on their successes in the coming months.

In addition to our extracurricular fixtures, the PE curriculum has focused on volleyball, basketball, and athletics. Students have worked diligently to develop their technical skills while improving their overall fitness. These units have provided a solid foundation for their physical and mental well-being, ensuring a well-rounded and enriching experience in physical education.

The semester also included two much-anticipated Staff vs. Students matches, fostering a sense of camaraderie and healthy competition. The volleyball match saw the students claim victory, demonstrating their agility and teamwork. In the football match, however, the staff emerged triumphant, using their experience and strategy to secure a win. Both events were met with great enthusiasm and contributed to the vibrant community spirit within the school.

One of the standout events of the semester was the steeplechase cross-country race, which challenged our students both physically and mentally. Their determination and grit were evident as they navigated the demanding course, pushing themselves to new limits. The event was a true celebration of resilience and perseverance.

Looking ahead, our students are now preparing for the highly anticipated Sports Day. With a focus on track and field events, they have been diligently refining their skills in sprints, long-distance running, jumps, and throws. These sessions have not only enhanced their athletic abilities but have also instilled a sense of confidence and readiness for the upcoming event.

As we reflect on this action-packed semester, we are immensely proud of the effort, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship displayed by our students. Their engagement in physical education and sports has been a source of inspiration for the entire school community. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the students, staff, and parents whose support has been instrumental in making this semester such a success.

We eagerly look forward to an equally exciting and productive second semester.
