Our Grade 12 students are exploring human resource management with a focus on flexible working, leadership styles and the impact that effective or poor leadership can have on business performance. They will soon begin their Marketing unit, which is always a popular part of the course as it allows students to apply ideas about psychology and consumer behaviour to real world examples.
Grade 11 students are building strong foundations in Marketing. They are learning how objectives are set, how demand and supply influence business decisions and how marketing activities can shape buying behaviour. Their next step is to examine market share and the strategies firms use to increase it.
In BTEC Business the focus has been on PESTLE factors and how external influences shape business decisions. Students recently took part in an activity using real money from a range of countries to help them understand exchange rates and how they affect international business.
