On May 17, G2 students finished their Learning Assembly. Children prepared an audio-visual presentation which integrated UOI - "Sharing the Planet" with Chinese traditional culture and fully demonstrated the ‘Risk-taking spirit in the PYP learners' profile. The up-beat English song "Try Everything" started the show, children used footage from "Zootopia" to express their love for nature, animals, and life. This was followed by a brilliant solo and African drum performance "Flowers All the Way". The singer's confidence and generosity and the drummers' devotion fully demonstrated the children's creativity.
When it comes to blending traditional culture, the catchy tune and lively dance of "Yongliu" connect what students learn in textbooks with their own interests. The children’s beaming faces, sweet singing, and captivating dance moves are their genuine way of expressing themselves. During the grand finale performance of "Learning Ancient Poems," the rappers brought an infectious rhythm that got everyone's attention. All the children enthusiastically sang along with the music, showing their heartfelt gratitude to their parents.
