As we approach the end of the academic year, it is heartening to reflect on the progress students have made on the IGCSE ESL course. Our Grade 10 students have worked hard in preparing for the final examination. They undertook a challenging speaking assessment at the end of April and yet all students should be proud of their determination and efforts in their performance. In addition, students sat their final reading, writing and listening examinations in May and we look forward to receiving their results in August.
Grade 9 ESL students have been sharpening their writing skills in how to write an effective argument. They have explored their own preferred topic, undertook thorough research before proposing arguments with supporting and relevant evidence. Students’ work is currently displayed, showcasing their efforts and achievements. Recently, G9 students have sat their end of year examinations and have written a speech about ‘Innovation and Change’ with some students being selected for the final speech competition later this week.
