In their music education journey, Grade 6 students have embarked on a musical exploration of diverse rhythms from West Africa to Japan, and from Jamaica to Cuba. They have mastered the basic techniques of the djembe drum creating different tones and exploring its origins. Using music technology tools like Song Maker, they have developed their skills in crafting melodies and rhythmic patterns enhancing their musical creativity.

Grade 7 students have been delving into the fundamentals of music notation, taking part in engaging activities like musical word searches, music genre explorations, and quizzes on musical symbols. Each activity is structured to enhance their foundational understanding of music.

In Grade 8, students have been familiarising themselves with the basics of music notation and the various instruments of the orchestra. During ukulele practice, students have been learning their first chords on the instrument, working together as a team, and honing their perseverance and collaborative skills.
