Our Grade Six students have had an enriching experience in design and technology while building birdhouses. This project has taught them how to use woodworking machinery and introduced them to basic joinery techniques. Additionally, they have begun learning about CAD software, exploring its applications and importance in design. This hands-on approach is designed to improve their practical skills and encourage creativity as they bring their ideas to life.

Our Grade Seven and Eight students have enjoyed a hands-on experience in design and technology by building keepsake boxes. They've delved into advanced joinery techniques and gained confidence in using heavy machinery. Along the way, they’ve learned about different materials, including the distinctions between hardwood and softwood, as well as aspects like wood grains and density. Additionally, they have been exploring CAD software, mastering the manipulation of virtual objects, designing complex shapes, and bringing their drawings to life.
