Recently, Ms Susan introduced a series of innovative measures in her string lessons, aimed at helping students grow with confidence and joy in the world of music. ‘String Break Bliss’: A Special Practice Space During Breaks

The newly introduced Thursday and Friday “String Break Bliss” provides students with a special opportunity to practise. During the morning break, students can visit the violin classroom to spend some time practising. This flexible time arrangement not only offers students a way to relax amid their busy school lives but also allows them to strengthen their skills in a pleasant and stress-free atmosphere.


Parents are encouraged to motivate students to make use of this opportunity to share their practice experiences with Ms Susan and fellow classmates, learning and improving together. Through the “String Break Bliss,” students can not only enhance their techniques but also foster teamwork and enjoy the fun that music brings.

Practice Champion Board: Building Visual Habits,

Sustaining Motivation

To actively promote the development of good practice habits, Ms Susan launched the “Practice Champion Board.” This initiative encourages students to log and reflect on every practice session, using a card-punching system to visually showcase their hard work and steady progress. Each time a practice task is completed, students earn a “Busy Bee” card symbolising diligence, which is then proudly displayed on the board as a testament to their relentless efforts.


Parents can engage with students by reviewing their “Practice Champion Board,” offering praise and encouragement. This visual way of tracking practice not only provides students with a clear sense of direction but also enables them to confidently face challenges while maintaining a love for instrumental performance.

Monthly Violin & Cello Stars: Recognising Efforts, Inspiring Passion

In Ms Susan’s lessons, students who perform exceptionally well are honoured with the title of “Monthly Violin & Cello Star.” This recognition not only affirms their hard work but also stimulates their interest. By showcasing their talent in class, students can experience a sense of progress and achievement, encouraging them to invest even more enthusiastically in their practice.


Parents can celebrate this recognition with their children through small gifts or family music concerts, allowing them to feel the support and encouragement from home.
