Important Reminders for IGCSE and A Level Maths Examinations

From the end of April to the middle of June, the IGCSE and A-Level maths examinations will be held. These two exams are very important for our Senior Secondary students’ academic development and will be a comprehensive test of their long-term learning results.

IGCSE Maths Examination

Our students take the Extended level of the IGCSE maths exam. The exam content covers algebra, geometry, statistics, and probability, etc.. It focuses on examining children's comprehensive application of knowledge and advanced skills, requiring them to understand maths concepts deeply and to use them skillfully to solve complex problems.

A-Level Maths Examination

A-Level maths includes modules including pure maths, statistics, and mechanics. The exam content is extensive and in-depth, requiring children to have a solid theoretical foundation and strong problem-solving abilities.

Preparation Suggestions

1. Make a Plan: Please help your children make a detailed review plan according to the exam time and their own learning progress and arrange the review time for each knowledge point reasonably.

2. Sort out the Knowledge System: Urge children to systematically sort out the learned math knowledge, build a complete knowledge framework, and clarify the connections between knowledge points.

3. Practise More Real Questions: Encourage children to practice past real questions to get familiar with the exam question types and proposition styles, master problem - solving skills, and at the same time identify and strengthen their weak links.

4. Seek Help: If your child encounters difficulties or doubts during preparation, be sure to remind them to ask their teachers and classmates for help in time to ensure the problems are solved.

The world of mathematics is full of possibilities and challenges. We hope all of our students will cherish these competition and exam opportunities, show their potential, and gain knowledge and confidence in math learning. Let's work together, school and family, to help children reach success together! If you have any questions or need learning support, feel free to contact the maths subject teachers.
