MS| MS English Review Across All Phases

As the semester progresses, our English curriculum has achieved significant milestones across all phases. Below is a detailed review of the teaching content for Phase 1 to Phase 4 classes, showcasing students' growth in language skills and the diverse range of learning activities.


Phase 1: Health and Sports


In Phase 1, students delved into the theme of sports and health through Unit 9 "Feeling Good." Through this unit, they acquired vocabulary related to sports and after-school activities, and learned how to express their personal preferences for physical activities. Additionally, students engaged in simulated letter exchanges with doctors to discuss whether their lifestyles were healthy. This activity not only enhanced their writing skills but also deepened their understanding of the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

Phase 2: 

Exploring City Architecture

Phase 2 students embarked on Unit 8, titled "Let's Go to the Museum." They learned English expressions for various types of buildings and developed skills in reading maps and giving directions to tourists in English. In terms of grammar, students focused on the past tense and practised using it in email writing exercises to respond to friends' questions. These activities not only improved their language application skills but also enhanced their spatial awareness and social abilities.


Phase 3:Entertainment and Celebrations

Phase 3 students explored Unit 6, "That's Entertainment," learning vocabulary related to movies and TV shows. They gained a deeper understanding of the differences between the present perfect tense and the simple past tense and demonstrated their learning through a writing exercise titled "My Favourite Celebration." This unit not only expanded their vocabulary but also improved their accuracy in using different tenses.


Phase 4:

First Steps into Careers

In Phase 4, students delved into Unit 6, "My First Job." They learned vocabulary related to various professions and discussed the experiences and challenges associated with different careers. In class, students also practised oral expression using the Speaking Progress tool, which not only boosted their fluency but also enhanced their confidence and communication skills.
