Recently, our G5 students showcased their exceptional acting talents, unique stage design, and even their outstanding directing skills during a performance of classic Chinese literature. Each student took on different roles and worked together harmoniously to present a vibrant, flexible, and captivating show. Through active participation in rehearsals, the students demonstrated significant potential and teamwork abilities. As Eugene O'Neill once said, "Drama is a way for humans to communicate emotions, allowing us to understand and accept different perspectives and cultures."

In this process, the students engaged with the classic texts and grasped various historical contexts, which enabled them to better understand the profound essence of these ancient literary works. Their enthusiasm for learning was ignited by stepping outside the classroom, leading to further reflections through independent study. This week, discussions about the four great classic novels continued in the classroom, with thought-provoking questions such as "Was beef consumption allowed in the Song Dynasty?" and "Does the frequent appearance of Jiangsu and Zhejiang cuisine in 'Journey to the West' reflect the author's cognitive limitations?" These inquiries continued to stimulate the children's curiosity and eagerness to explore.
