On Friday 23rd May 2025, our Primary School corridors and classrooms were full of excitement as students from Grade 1 to 5 proudly led their PYP Student-Led Conferences. This special day provided families with a valuable opportunity to step into the world of their children’s learning. With confidence and enthusiasm, our students acted as communicators and reflective learners, guiding their parents through a showcase of their achievements, challenges, and goals.
Classes featured a wide variety of learning displays – including inquiry projects, mathematical thinking, creative writing, artwork, and collaborative tasks. Many classes also included interactive games, allowing parents to experience learning through play and deepen their understanding of the skills and concepts their children have been exploring.
Each presentation reflected the development of key IB Learner Profile attributes such as being knowledgeable, principled, open-minded, and caring. These conferences celebrated student agency, with learners taking ownership of their educational journey and expressing pride in their progress. Through meaningful dialogue and thoughtful reflection, students demonstrated both academic and personal growth while honouring their community and cultural heritage.
Thank you to all our parents for your support and engagement. Together, we are nurturing confident, curious learners eager to understand themselves and the world around them.
