Phonics plays a vital role in developing strong reading and writing skills in young learners. In Venus Class, we've been focusing on phonics through exciting lessons that captivate our students’ interest.

Currently, Venus Class has finished recapping Phase 2 and is now exploring Phase 3 through the Twinkl Phonics scheme. Each lesson is accompanied by our beloved characters, Kit and Sam. These characters guide students on thrilling adventures, helping them learn new sounds and enhance their understanding of phonics.

At home, our students then complete activities to reinforce their learning, showcasing their understanding and application of the new sounds. This hands-on, interactive approach has led to noticeable progress in their reading and writing skills. It’s heartwarming to see our students so enthusiastic and engaged as they discover the joys of phonics and become more confident readers and writers every day!
